Forsythe Championship Racing had a difficult day in a race which presented tricky track conditions with on and off rain at Champ Car Mont Tremblant. Oriol Servia managed to finish ninth after starting in the fourteenth position but brake problems which plagued him throughout the race prevented him from fighting his way to the front both on dry and wet conditions. Servia’s finish places him seventh in the Championship with 91 points having only five starts this season.

Tracy’s day began with a crash during morning warm up which forced the #3 INDECK crew to prepare their backup car since their primary was damaged beyond repair. Per Champ Car rules the car changed meant that Tracy would have to start from the back of the field. The Canadian managed to pick up positions on the start but contact with Will Power sent him to the back of the grid again. His day ended early as he encountered engine problems and was forced to retire. He maintains the tenth spot in the Championship with 74 points having only four starts this season.

“Honestly another very disappointing day. We had high hopes for today, although we started fourteenth we had improved the car a lot from Friday to Saturday. This morning in warm up we were top five so things were looking good. But I don’t know, it just seems luck isn’t on our side. From the beginning of the race I started having braking issues, basically after only a few laps the pedal started going all the way to the end, I was locking the rear tires everywhere and just having a very hard time stopping the car. So just a frustrating day overall, hopefully things will be better next week. ”

“Well I guess when it rains it pours. Everything went wrong for us today, in the morning warm up I went off in Turn 10 and hit the wall pretty hard, the car had quite a lot of damage so we had to switch to our backup car. Since we switched cars we were forced to start at the back and we managed to pick up a few positions on the start but then I was spun out by Will Power and dropped to the back again. We were coming up to a restart and as I was coming up the hill I got on the gas and the engine just let go. We just have to put this weekend behind us and move on to my home race in Toronto, I’m really looking forward to turning things around there in front of the Canadian fans. ”
