“It s good to have the first day in the books and have some track time under my belt here. I could be happier, we ran 11th most of the day and I would have liked to qualified there, but we had a small issue with our first set of tires and then we ran out of time on our second stint. We ve saved our Bridgestone Red s for tomorrow and I am looking forward to getting back out there. The track is rubbering up pretty quickly, it is a great track, the elevation changes are awesome. ”

“I m really happy. I had a better day than I had expected. The team did a great job, as a whole no one made any mistakes and I think our performance was very respectable. The guys have been working 16 hours a day for four months; their families have sacrificed a lot, but now its time for it all to pay off. The track here is just mega; it has every aspect a driver loves. I think it is going to become on of the world s best street circuits for sure. The Vegas Grand Prix has done a phenomenal job.
