Roberto Moreno will take over the driving duties for Alex Figge this weekend in Houston. Figge is recuperating from an incident in the final laps of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach last weekend. He received an MRI late yesterday afternoon, the results will be determined this morning.
“Of course we are very disappointed Alex is unable to drive this weekend, but we are confident Roberto is a great choice to represent Imperial Capital Bank in the #29, ” commented team director, Tyler Tadevic. He continued, “He’s already been a great asset to the team, working closely with Ryan and Alex and our engineers, so he was of course our first choice in our continued development as a new team, with the new car. Roberto has excelled in the substitute driver role many times in the past and I am confident he will do well this weekend. ”
