Leilani’s return to Indy Lights has been moved to the season finale at Homestead Miami Speedway on October 9.
“We’ve been working closely with Women’s Extenze, Novicomm, and Ecobabble to provide a successful team effort for the race at Chicagoland,” said IndyCar Team 3G owner Greg Beck, “Collectively we have decided that we can give Leilani and our partners a more competitive race car by concentrating on Homestead Miami and building towards a 2010 race program. We are looking forward to going testing in September.”
Leilani will still be with Team 3G at Chicagoland this weekend, her driver coach Jaques Lazier will be racing in the Peak Antifreeze Indy 300 on Aug 29. Leilani competes in both NASCAR and Indy Racing League sanctioned events and adopts an acre of rainforest each race she competes in to offset her carbon footprint. A dynamic speaker, she frequents to Capitol Hill as an Ambassador for the National Wildlife Federation, speaking with members of Congress on behalf of environmental legislation. Her racing and environmental accomplishments have landed her on the pages of USA Today, Glamour, Vogue, ESPN, Sports Illustrated and the Washington Post.
