Together with OTTO Work Force A1 Team Netherlands is searching for a new team member. A ‘Gofor’ or a general team assistant who can support the team in every activity. From cleaning the pitbox, workshop and race car, helping with building up and packing up the pits, assisting with tyres, packing and unpacking, spare parts supplies but also doing mechanic jobs, working on the car and having a real and important task with the pitstop.
Homesick
Whomever is chosen from the probably thousands of candidates must not be suffering from homesickness at all. The races are all across the world, amongst others visiting Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, New Zealand, Mexico, South Africa, England, The Czech Republic and the Netherlands, with the occasional nice opportunity to see some of the country. A real trip around the world in the hugely exciting world of motor racing with all it’s glamour. Everywhere where the A1 circus lands it is a true party.

Following this project OTTO Work Force has joined A1 Team Netherlands as Team Sponsor.
OTTO Work Force will implement the complete Gofor project and take care of a thourough selection of the candidates.
The selection process consists of a number of rounds and a team of experts will make the final choice. An extensive screening, assessment and a number of tests are part of the selection procedure.

Everyone is working very hard and is continuously focussed on the goal of winning races. When the results are good, and with a 5th place overall they are, there is also time for a practical joke and some relaxation now and again. I had the pitstop tasks myself which the Gofor will be taking over.
I can say that it is an example of a task where it can’t go really good, but can go terribly wrong and everyone at home will be able to watch that on TV. I was quite confident before my first pitstop, but when Jeroen actually came in my hartbeat was up at 180 beats per minute. In general our pitstops are very good and we do practice every day to keep it that way. Furthermore it is the intention that the Gofor will be followed by a TV crew and in the media in the upcoming season; ‘Gofor’s adventures’.
OTTO Work Force
OTTO Work Force in Venray is the runner up amongst the Dutch employment agencies. Seven years ago the company started with recruiting Polish labour for the Dutch market.
