A1 Team Pakistan driver, Ali said, “This was a physically demanding event, and also a bitfrustrating. We had a decent Sprint race, moving up to P15, which gave us a better startingposition for the second race. The first corner here is quite narrow after a wide straight and hadcaused some incidents during the Sprint race. So ahead of the Feature race, the team told me tobe cautious and aim for the finish instead of any first lap heroics.
“Towards the end of the Feature race I had the race leaders behind me, and obviously as acourteous driver I didn’t want to affect their racing. Unfortunately, when you move off-line herethe track is very dirty, and I collected quite a lot of debris on the tyres which affected the handlingof the car.
”A1 Team Pakistan team manager Bobby Issazadhe added, “This was a pretty uneventful race forus, we weren’t really quick enough here today, and I don’t think Nur managed to get the best outof the car. He set some good sector times towards the end of the race, but unfortunately ourtimes weren’t consistent which meant we lost a position to Lebanon in the Feature race. We willnow focus on improving at the next race in China.
”A1 Team Pakistan will make its second visit to China this season, for the A1GP Shanghai, Chinain three weeks time. The Shanghai International Circuit, which also forms part of the FormulaOne World Championship, hosted last year’s season finale.
