Kevin Harvick edged Mark Martin by 2/100ths of a second to win his first Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday. Harvick made a late move coming out of turn four on the outside of Martin on the last lap, with a multi-car crash splitting the field behind them, to claim the win for Richard Childress Racing (RCR). “It’s just hard to put into words,” said Harvick, driver of the No. 29 Shell Chevrolet. “Just the Daytona 500, it’s hard to believe.”
