Teamate Kyle Marcelli & John Edwards To Start On Second Row At Petite LeMans Marcelli Motorsports Inc.

Barrie, Ontario - Rising Canadian talent Kyle Marcelli continues to impress on the international stage as he qualified on row two of the Star Mazda championship race at Petite LeMans making it an all AIM Autosport second row with his teamate John Edwards starting alongside.

This is Marcelli’s first time behind the wheel in the Star Mazda Championship this season and its all thanks to the support of Lafarge a world wide leader in building materials.

“The first thing was getting used to the car which is quite different in terms of power, handling and downforce to what I have run this year (F2000),” commented Marcelli. The entire AIM Autosport crew has been terrific in helping me get comfortable with the car and they have been very supportive of my efforts. This year the Star Mazda Championship is a very deep field in terms of talent and experience. I am very happy to have qualified on row two along side of my teamate John Edwards for my first race this season. I am very fortunate to have Lafarge support me for this weekend and a lot of our success is deserved to them. Says Marcelli

“Lafarge is very proud to be one of Kyle’s sponsors this year. It is important for us as a large multi national organization not to forget that our local customers and communities are what make us successful. Being able to give back to Kyle and to the community of Barrie Ontario is something in which we take great pride.

The keys to success at Lafarge, like with Kyle behind the wheel, are teamwork, innovation, speed, and precision. We value these keys and also our customers which are the foundation of our success.

In sharing this Star Mazda race with Kyle we hope that it can be a launching pad for him and for our relationship together.” - David Beaupré Sales and Marketing Director Lafarge

Marcelli and the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear take to the track tomorrow with the drop of the green flag at 4:30pm.
