Alex Yoong started his F1 career with a brief stint partnering Fernando Alonso at Minardi in 2001. Now, nine years later, the driver-turned-TV presenter pegs his former teammate as the best bet for the 2010 Drivers’ Championship.
He said: “It is going to be a fascinating season and an epic one at that! We have such great driver line-ups with Ferrari having Alonso and Massa, McLaren with two World Champions and of course, we have Michael Schumacher’s return.”
“We also have brand new teams and new regulations, so it is going to be an epic year.”
“I think that Alonso will win the title. I think that it will be a battle between Ferrari and McLaren.”
“Out of these two teams you have to go with which driver has more experience and Alonso, I think, has the edge.”
