Following a long layoff since the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series season-opener in Daytona, ASC Motorsports is headed for Homestead-Miami Speedway. The 400 kilometer, 109 lap race is scheduled take the green flag Sunday, April 15th at 1:45 PM. The team will run both of its GS Class Porsche 996s at Homestead. Team owner Zach Arnold of Tiffin, Ohio will team with Tanner Baker of Sebring, Florida in the #44 Porsche, while Rene Robichaud of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jason Workman of Atlanta, Georgia will co-drive the #43 Porsche.
While preparing the cars for the trip to Florida, Arnold discussed the team’s readiness to get back in competition: “We are looking forward to the event after being off way too long since Daytona. The cars are in good shape and hopefully we’ll have something for the Mustangs and BMWs. ” After Homestead, ASC Motorsports returns to action just one week later for the first-ever race at the new 1.3 mile Iowa Speedway in De Moines, Iowa.
