Bahrain International Circuit Extends Formula One Contract Till 2016 Bahrain

Next year’s Bahrain Grand Prix, set for April 19, will mark the first race of the new contract signed between BIC and Formula One organisers.

“Given the revenue generated both directly and indirectly from the Grand Prix every year, this is great news for the kingdom’s economy and businesses in general,” said BIC chief executive Martin Whitaker

“It is good news to get our date so early in the year, as it helps considerably with the planning for everyone involved in the organisation of the race,” added Whitaker.
