Sebastian Vettel led the way on both occasions, clocking a fastest time of one minute 19.400 seconds in the first session of the day before recording 1:19.456s in the second practice to edge out team-mate Mark Webber.
World championship leader Jenson Button, bidding for a fifth consecutive race win, finished third in the first session of the day before slipping down to 14th in the second, while Force India’s Adrian Sutil took a surprise third in the afternoon. Sky Sports
The first period saw Button third-fastest, but 0.827secs down on Vettel, and then in the second it was the remarkable sight of Force India’s Adrian Sutil riding high in third, albeit 0.685secs down.
Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima was fourth, followed by Fernando Alonso in his Renault and title hopeful Rubens Barrichello for Brawn GP. The Press Association
