Race 2 at Sebring International Raceway didn’t go as Mishael Abbott had hoped. A broken suspension took Mishael out of the race on the first lap, making the rest of the 2007 IMSA Lites Presented by Hankook season an uphill battle for her in the IMSA Lites 1 Championship.
Mishael Abbott stepped up to fifth on the starting grid in her B-K Motorsports, Mazda powered, Elan DP02 when the car that was to start in front of her didn’t make it to the pre-race lineup. Afternoon rains delayed the race schedule about an hour and left a wet track for the start. Although the rain had stopped, all competitors started on rain tires for the 30-minute race.
