Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has all but ruled out the possibility of them supplying engines to whomever takes over the Honda F1 team.
Meanwhile, Honda F1 team principal Ross Brawn said he had approached Ferrari about a possible engine supply - the two having a close relationship owing to his time as technical director at Maranello.
However, Domenicali appeared to put an end to the notion of a link-up between the two.
“The chance of us supplying engines to Honda is close to zero,” team boss Stefano Domenicali said.
Ferrari had said earlier this month that they would be prepared to supply engines to any new owners but no deal was in place.
The Brackley-based team, run by former Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn and chief executive Nick Fry, have said they are considering some 12 serious offers with ‘global players’ among those interested.
