The FiaGT has come to the final 2-race showdown. Right after taking his first win at Brno, where he and co-driver Miguel Ramos brought the #2 Vitaphone Maserati on top, Christian Montanari will be back on track at Nogaro, France. The driver from San Marino hopes to prepare the final assault to the title by counting on the positive momentum created in Czech Republic.
“Nogaro is completely new to me, I only took a couple of laps on a motorbike today. It’s not one of the longest tracks around, but it’s technically demanding. There are several corners with a negative camber, there’s a fast first segment followed by a slow complex. Finding a good set-up since practice will probably be the key to stay calm and focused all-weekend long, and also Qualifying, starting on Saturday evening, will be crucial for us. I hope, together with Ramos, to score the points needed to keep it up in the fight for the Championship. Then, we’ll be playing for the jackpot at Zolder in the last round, scheduled for October 21. The team is strongly determined to sweep both drivers and teams titles, and they’ll have a concrete chance since both cars are into play. Of course, constructors title was already won by Maserati: I’m proud to drive one of their cars. “
