The decisive moment has arrived: this Sunday, Zolder will host the final round of the 2007 FIA GT season, with 9 drivers, covered by just 8 points in standings, fighting for this season’s crown. Christian Montanari, driving his Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC12 will be paired, as usual, by Miguel Ramos, in a final attempt to sweep what would be an incredible maiden title.
Indeed, the driver from San Marino is at his rookie season in GT racing, but has already proved to carry, together with his well-known speed, the right consistence and maturity, being able to adapt to the racing type very quickly. He’ll be also able to end his season on a venue where he captured Pole Position in the 2006 World Series Renault, and though a lot can happen on the tight racetrack, Christian is sure he’ll be part of the play. In the FIA GT, points are awarded like in Formula One, with 10 points to the winner, then 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
