From the Race Track to the Filling Station, Spotlight on Ethanol

American Le Mans Series demonstrates the E10 benefits at Houston Area Pump Promotion

WHAT:
Houston motorists can follow in the footsteps of the highly technical race cars of the American Le Mans Series and make a choice at the pump for energy independence and cleaner air. E10, a blend of 90 percent gasoline and 10 percent ethanol, will be available for 30 cents off the regular price Friday, April 20, 2007 at three Kroger Fuel Centers in the Houston area.

The American Le Mans Series has chosen E10 as “the official ethanol-enriched fuel” of the Series, the first time a street-legal, renewable fuel has been used in any motorsports format.

First in line at the pump at the Kroger Fuel Center on 1801 S. Voss will be Nic Jonsson, driver for the Houston-based Risi Competizione team, fueling the team’s race-winning Ferrari with the same E10 fuel available to the public!
