This week’s Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro test session at the Mugello International Circuit came to an end today. After Luca Badoer on Wednesday and Kimi Raikkonen, it was Felipe Massa’s turn to get behind the wheel of the F2008.
In a day affected by adverse weather conditions, the Brazilian driver worked on finding thebest set up on the car, including on a wet track. Felipe completed a total of 98 laps, thequickest in a time of 1.23.618.
“This session has been very useful,” commented Massa at the end of the test. “Kimi andLuca were able to run in the dry, while I encountered the wet and, given that there’s a chance we could experience these conditions in the coming races, that is no bad thing.We have done a good job and feel ready for the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix. The end of the championship will be very close and it will be vital not to make any mistakes anywhere.”
Activity at Mugello does not end with Formula 1: as from tomorrow, the Tuscan circuit hosts the F430 Challenge cars, competing in the sixth round of the Italian Ferrari Challenge and the FXX cars in the hands of owner-test drivers taking part in the eponymous programme.
