Jenson Button notched up his third victory of the 2009 season in searing desert heat in Bahrain, stretching his world championship lead to 12 points.
It was a beautifully crafted performance from Button and Brawn GP, who used perfect tactics and consistent race pace to overcome a strong initial challenge from Toyota and Red Bull. ITV
The Briton captured his third win of the season after Australia and Malaysia ahead of the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel, winner in China last weekend, and pole sitter Jarno Trulli of Toyota. AFP
McLaren continued their improvement as Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, with Rubens Barrichello, who had gambled on three-stop strategy, fifth for Brawn.
Kimi Raikkonen provided the beleaguered Ferrari team with some job by finishing sixth, ahead of Toyota’s Timo Glock, who had started alongside team-mate Trulli on the front row. Setanta Sports
