Lewis Hamilton set the pace in second practice at the Belgian Grand Prix with Mark Webber the fastest Championship contender in fourth place.
Hamilton’s fastest lap time of 1:47.201 was enough to top the standings in the afternoon session as the weather improved dramatically at Spa from the torrential rain in the morning. Yahoo!Eurosport
Championship leader Briton Jenson Button of Brawn GP was down in 17th place and his team-mate Brazilian veteran Rubens Barrichello was 19th, both of them complaining of rear-end instability in the vital middle section of the circuit.
German Sebastian Vettel was only 10th in his Red Bull while Australian Mark Webber, his team-mate who lies third behind the two Brawn drivers in the current standings, was fourth fastest. Sydney Morning Herald
