Sebastian Vettel will start from pole position at the Chinese Grand Prix after Red Bull again dominated qualifying.
The German, fresh from his victory in Malaysia two weeks’ ago, stole top spot from his team-mate Mark Webber by 0.248 seconds with a final lap of one minute 34.558s at the Shanghai International Circuit.
Red Bull have now taken pole in all four races this season.
“It was a fantastic lap,” said Vettel, 22, who won his first race for Red Bull at this event last year.

But it was another bad Saturday for the McLarens of world champion Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, who finished fifth and sixth respectively, languishing behind not only the Red Bulls but also the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso and the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg.
Seven-times world champion Schumacher again looked off the pace, scraping into the top-10 shoot-out by 0.033secs from former Ferrari team-mate Rubens Barrichello who, along with fellow Williams man Nico Hulkenberg, was knocked out in the second session.
Jaime Alguersuari continued to outpace Toro Rosso partner Sebastien Buemi, with 1m 36.047s to 1m 36.149s. Vitaly Petrov recovered from his Saturday morning shunt to take 14th place for Renault with 1m 36.311s, then came the BMW Saubers of Kamui Kobayashi and Pedro de la Rosa which sandwiched Nico Hulkenberg’s Williams.
