Red Bull’s Mark Webber topped final practice for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa before heavy rain brought the competitive element of the session to an end.
Briton Lewis Hamilton was second, 0.117 seconds off the pace, with Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button completing a lockout of the top four places for Red Bull and McLaren.
However there were concerns for Vettel’s RB6 as he lost drive coming around the final bend and had to be pushed to the garage by marshals.
A team spokeswoman said there had been a problem with the Renault-powered car’s airbox, with the engine shut down as a precaution. She added that the issue has since been resolved.
