Sebastian Vettel led Mark Webber to a Red Bull one-two in the Brazilian Grand Prix to take the world title fight to the final race of the season.
Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso took third place to retain the championship lead from Webber and Vettel.
Red Bull’s formation finish ensured they clinched the constructors’ championship for the first time.
Lewis Hamilton was fourth and retains a slim title chance while Jenson Button’s fifth means he cannot retain his crown.

Alonso can afford to finish second in Abu Dhabi and still take the title if Webber wins, or fourth if Vettel does.
Germany’s Vettel said: “It was an incredible day, not easy to start with. I was on the dirty side but got a good start and I saw Nico [Hulkenberg] had wheelspin.
“He didn’t give me a lot of room but then it was OK. I could cruise into the distance and control the pace. It’s an incredible effort from the team. It has not been an easy season, but this was the perfect answer after what happened in Korea.” BBC Sport
German Nico Rosberg came home sixth for Mercedes ahead of his team-mate seven-times champion Michael Schumacher and another German Nico Hulkenberg, who had started from his maiden pole position for the Williams team.
Pole Robert Kubica was ninth for Renault and Japanese Kamui Kobayashi 10th for Sauber on a rare racing day in Brazil when the drivers title was not resolved. It will now be decided in the final race of the year in Abu Dhabi next Sunday. AFP
Jaime Alguersuari took 11th for Toro Rosso, having earlier made contact with Williams’ Rubens Barrichello as they fought for position in Turn One; the Brazilian cut his left-front Bridgestone and the resultant slow lap and pit stop dropped him down to an 14th place finish.
Force India’s Adrian Sutil made up for Korea as he kept his cool and stayed ahead of Schumacher, Hulkenberg and Kubica until his tyre stop, and took 12th ahead of Sebastien Buemi who clobbered Felipe Massa at one stage as the Toro Rosso and Ferrari disputed the same piece of road.
Massa had been running well early on until a loose right-front wheel obliged him to make an unscheduled pit stop. Massa finished 15th, behind Barrichello, after contact with Vitaly Petrov’s Renault in Turn One. The Russian finished 16th. Nick Heidfeld was 17th after getting his drive-through penalty, while Heikki Kovalainen led home Jarno Trulli as Lotus won the new team stakes ahead of Virgin’s Timo Glock. Bruno Senna led home HRT team mate Christian Klien, after the Austrian started from the pit lane, and Lucas di Grassi was the only man to join Liuzzi on the non-finishers’ list after mechanical problems delayed his Virgin.
