Red Bull continued its dominance of Spanish Grand Prix practice in the final Saturday morning session, pointing to a strong likelihood of a front-row lockout by the Milton Keynes-based team in this afternoon’s crucial qualifying.

Mark Webber topped the times for much of the hour but in the end team-mate and Friday pacesetter Sebastian Vettel got the upper hand again, uncorking a 1m20.528s on soft tyres just before the chequered flag flew to finish an emphatic 0.7s clear.

Webber looked like close the gap to Vettel but not match him on his final flier, but the Australian aborted the lap and returned to the pits instead.

McLaren was best of the rest this morning, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button setting almost identical times in third and fourth, 0.8s off Vettel’s benchmark. ITV

Michael Schumacher was again in the fight in fifth place, with 1m 21.583s for Mercedes, with Felipe Massa completing those below 1m 22s with 1m 21.749s for Ferrari.

In a fine and dry session Nico Rosberg struggled again with his MGP W01, and was seventh on 1m 22.013s, followed closely by local hero Fernando Alonso on 1m 22.091s in the second Ferrari.

Behind them, Robert Kubica’s excellent form continued for Renault with ninth place on 1m 22.242s, with Adrian Sutil completing the top 10 for Force India on 1m 22.377s, despite coming to a halt near the end of the session with technical problems. Formula 1
