11. Hungarian Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Race Winner: Heikki Kovalainen

“I’m very happy. There have been various incidents this season that have happened when I’ve been in a position to fight for a victory.” said Heikki Kovalainen.
He added: “At the end I tried to put pressure on Massa and hoped something would happen, and it worked out that way.
“The team have kept pushing and I’m very glad to get this first win.
“It’s fantastic, a great moment, something I’ve been targeting for many years. Hopefully this is the first of many.”

12. European Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Felipe Massa
Race Winner: Felipe Massa

“It’s fantastic having won this race, especially after the disappointment of Budapest. The team did an amazing job in preparing for this Grand Prix and the benefits of that could be seen right from the very first day. Yesterday, I got pole and today the win, with the race fastest lap as the icing on the cake. You cannot ask for more especially at my one hundredth grand prix with every single one of them powered by a Ferrari engine. I got a good start and I pushed to the maximum right from the early laps. In the second part of the race, the car was exceptional, but also in the final stint, when I had the softer tyres, I could do the lap times easily. This is an important moment in my career and I must continue to work in this way. I am sorry for what happened to Kimi: we have to look very carefully at our reliability. I am confident the team knows which countermeasures to take to react to this issue, as it hasalways done in the past.” said Felipe Massa.

13. Belgian Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Race Winner: Felipe Massa

“To be honest, I’ve given my ideas on this many times about what happened. What’s happened is that he took an advantage by cutting the chicane. You can ask other drivers how many overtaking manoeuvres you see there: no overtaking. Going from the last corner to the first corner is such a small straight, so he took an advantage, that’s clear, that’s my opinion, so it doesn’t change.” said Felipe Massa.

14. Italian Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Sebastian Vettel
Race Winner: Sebastian Vettel

“Unbelievable.I had a fantastic race with a very good strategy but all that was gone when I got the chequered flag and crossed the finish line. The lap back to the pits and the whole podium ceremony was just unbelievable. I think for sure this is the best day of my life. These pictures, these emotions, I will never forget. It is unbelievable. It is so much greater than you might think it is. It is great. Again, I can just say a big, big thank you to all the guys working in the team. I think they did a fantastic job. Who might have thought about that at the beginning of the season. We had a poor start but then it got better and better and in these conditions we can make a bit of a gap by staying longer on full throttle. It is great, fantastic. I am speechless.” said Sebastian Vettel.

15. Singapore Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Felipe Massa
Race Winner: Fernando Alonso

“A great weekend for everyone in Formula One, the first night race. We all had a new challenge in front of us and we will be part of history, the first night race in Formula One. There will be many more to come as I think the experience was great. We had no problems and I think the people will enjoy more this type of races.” said Fernando Alonso.
“A first podium of the season and first victory as well and I am extremely happy. I cannot believe it right now, I think I need a couple of days to realise we won a race this year. It seems impossible all through the season to be close to the top guys and here suddenly we have been competitive from Friday.”

16. Japanese Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Race Winner: Fernando Alonso

“It is so difficult to believe, to win, back to back victories, it is hard to believe,” he said. “The team has done such a great job with the car.” said Fernando Alonso
“It is a great feeling to win again and to have back-to-back victories is really good for the team. It is very nice.”

“The car felt fantastic all weekend and I only so much the guys, not just at the track, but also back at home. The car is really a dream to drive. The guys here just make sure that the car stays intact and so I can bring it home. It was fantastic team effort this weekend so a big thanks to them.”

18. Brazilian Grand Prix
Pole Winner: Felipe Massa
Race Winner: Felipe Massa

“It was an exciting day. We did everything to perfection and we almost managed to pull it off. Then, as I crossed the line, Rob told me that Hamilton had finished fifth and therefore he took the title by one point. Sport is like this and one has to accept that. Congratulations to Lewis: whoever gets the most points deserves the title. I am very proud of the whole team and how much support they have given me during this fantastic season. Now we must be happy with what have done, namely bringing home the Constructors’ title which I know is so important for the team. It was a season of highs and lows and we have learned a lot, from the good moments and from our mistakes. I can leave Interlagos with my head held high because once again I have won in front of my home crowd and because this is an unforgettable day. Now I want to celebrate with my family, my friends and my team. We deserve it!”  said Felipe Massa.

LEWIS HAMILTON, 2008 FIA FORMULA 1 WORLD CHAMPION
“The most dramatic race of my whole life. It’s pretty much impossible to put this into words: I’m still speechless. It’s been such a long journey, but I’ve always had the support of my family, the team, our partners and the fans. We did a fantastic job throughout the whole year and, with all the sacrifices we made, I’m so thrilled to be able to win this for everyone.

My heart was in my mouth. I was almost exploding. I don’t know how I kept my cool. It was the toughest race of my life. I don’t know how I did it.
I’m very emotional, I’ve cried. My heart’s feeling so much strain right now. I think first and foremost of my family and then I thank God because he was with me all year as he always is.
Before it started to rain I was quite comfortable, and I was just focused on having a clean race. Then it started to drizzle and I didn’t want to take any risks - but Sebastian got past me and I was told that I had to get back in front of him. I couldn’t believe it. Then at the very last corner I managed to get past Timo - it was just amazing. This was one of the toughest races of my life, if not the toughest. I was shouting, ‘Do I have it? Do I have it?’ on the radio. It was only when I took the chequered flag and got to Turn One that the team told me I was world champion. I was ecstatic.”
