HOME RUN FOR GAINSCO: GAINSCO Auto Insurance is one of the fastest growing auto insurers in the country, and Miami is a leading market for the Dallas, Texas-based company. With more than 200 employees, GAINSCO’s Miami office is the team’s second-largest office. The Miami office will host a victory celebration for Gurney and Fogarty when they visit the employees Thursday morning.

HOMESTEAD 2006: Gurney and endurance co-driver Jimmy Vasser qualified eighth and finished sixth at the 2006 Lindor Komatsu Miami Grand Prix. Bob Stallings Racing had a very productive test at the speedway last December. They were quick and the team is confident they will run strong this weekend.

ALEX GURNEY ON HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY: “I am really excited to get back to racing this weekend and trying to get back in the championship hunt. We’re all still very pumped up about getting our first win in Mexico and now we’d love to back it up in Homestead. The team is definitely firing on all cylinders and we feel very prepared for this track. We had a very quick car there at the test in December so we feel raring to go. I can’t wait. ”

JON FOGARTY ON HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY: “I am looking forward to our next opportunity to move forward in this championship. Mexico was huge for the team, and that momentum, along with the successful test we had back in December, should combine to make Homestead a great weekend for us. It would be incredible to give GAINSCO a win in Miami and I am confident about our prospects. ”
