The third round of the Koni Challenge season was held this past weekend at Iowa Speedway. This was the first visit to the 1.3 mile road course for the Koni Challenge Series. For the 2 hour 30 minute race Gué was paired with regular co-driver Bret Seafuse in the #37 JBS Motorsport FR500C Ford Mustang.
Seafuse qualified the car in the 14th position out of a 34 car field, and had his patented charge to the front, making it to 4th prior to Gué taking over the driving duties at the 1 hour and 5 minute mark. After all the pitstops cycled through Gué emerged in 2nd place. A number of caution periods at the end of the race allowed Gué to stretch the fuel mileage and make it to the end without stopping. When the racing resumed Gué slipped back the 4th position in the final 20 minutes as an issue with the brakes continued to plague the #37 car. In the end Gué and Seafuse finished in the 4th position.
