Harold’s team-mate Christophe Tinseau was satisfied with a top six finish after the maladies of the start, but shared Harold’s frustrations. “We had the issue on the formation lap and then a few other small problems during the race which cost us some time. Without these we could have comeback to finish fourth or fifth, but I thought we both drove a good race because we didn’t have any incidents working our way up through the traffic, which is a major achievement here! ”

Henri Pescarolo felt they had performed well under difficult circumstances. “It’s a shame about the start but we forgot to tell Harold that he would need to restart the battery. However the drivers didn’t make any mistakes and drove a good race. I thought Harold was better than he had been in practice and that shows he’s ideally suited to race conditions. ”

Race engineer Andre De Cortanze was particularly impressed with a double-stint Harold produce during the race. “It was a very strong double-stint at an important time of the race and that really showed Harold’s character after the trouble at the start. He has everything it takes to drive a leading LMP1 car. ”
