Herta, Marino Franchitti Finish Seventh In The Acura Sports Car Challenge



XM Satellite Radio drivers Bryan Herta and Marino Franchitti finished seventh in the LMP2 class at Saturday s running of the inaugural Acura Sports Car Challenge. The AGR duo finished 21st overall in the 24-car field.

After taking the lead early in the race, Franchitti brushed the wall causing damage to the rear wing. Despite the damage, Franchitti continued in the race until making contact with Ryan Briscoe sending the XM Satellite Radio Acura into the tire barrier. After lengthy repairs, Herta took the wheel for the remainder of the race to earn points to keep the team in contention for the championship.
