Question: How did it feel to drive well in Bahrain but finish outside the points?
Nelson Piquet: I was disappointed to miss out on the points, but I still felt really positive after the race. The first few laps were really exciting and I had some good battles. The car was working well and was really consistent for the whole race.
Question: Did the car feel much improved from China with the new diffuser attached? What was better about it?
Nelson Piquet: The new diffuser has certainly improved the car’s aero performance and it was easier to drive. We also had a development to the front wing in Bahrain which helped. The team has done an incredible job to introduce these developments so early in the season.

Question: Do you look forward to the European season? What are the major differences between it and the opening races?
Nelson Piquet: There’s no major difference, although we don’t have as much travelling to worry about. The team also brings the trucks and motorhomes to the European races, which makes it easier for the engineers and mechanics. I also have my own space in the motorhome where I can relax, have a massage and get focused before I drive the car.
