Experienced Sports Car driver James Gué is set to compete in the Grand American Rolex Series presented by Crown Royal event in the GT class at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on April 28th.
At VIR, Gué will be driving with Racers Edge Motorsports in the No. 30 Pontiac GXP. R. Racers Edge has been involved with open wheel racing since 1990 and is now taking the step into Sports Car Racing for the first time in 2007. Fortunately for the program, Gué has experience driving in both the Daytona Prototype and GT class in the Rolex Series having previously been involved with multiple teams in each class. In addition, Gué is running the complete 2007 season in the KONI Challenge Series with JBS Motorsports giving him the background and abilities to take the team to a podium finish.
“Anytime you get the chance to step up into a higher level of competition it’s always a good opportunity, said Gué.” Grand Am has really developed in the last few years and is a series that I am extremely happy to be a part of. I am excited that Racers Edge Motorsports has given me the opportunity to get in the Pontiac at VIR.”
