Toyota Can Maintain Front Place Believes Trulli

Jarno Trulli is confident that his Toyota team can maintain its place at the front of the Formula 1 pack even as the likes of McLaren and Ferrari make their expected surges from the Spanish Grand Prix.

But Trulli says Toyota - which took a front row sweep in Bahrain and has scored podiums in three out of four races so far this year - is well aware that it will be tough to hang on at the front, and will not be caught unawares.

“We’ve got a lot of races to go until the end of the championship, so we need to develop the car, get better and I can see already some signs of improvement from other teams.”

“If you look at these races, there are some teams that made quite a big step compared to the first two races, so I definitely expect a big fight during the season and I also expect quite a mix of leading cars and teams during all the races,” said Trulli.
