Jenson Button made it six from seven as he ran away and hid from the Red Bulls of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel in Turkey on Sunday afternoon. It was a perfect riposte for Brawn after their defeat in China at the hands of the Australian/German duo. Formula 1
Button overtook pole sitter Sebastian Vettel on the first lap following a mistake by the Red Bull driver and held on for a 6.7-second win over Red Bull’s Mark Webber.
Vettel, the first driver not to win from the pole in five races at Istanbul, finished third after opting for a three-stop strategy.
Button leads the standings with 61 points. Teammate Rubens Barrichello, who retired after starting third, has 35 points. Vettel has 29 and Webber 27.5. The Associated Press

“It’s the best the car has felt all year,” he added later. “It’s previously been a bit loose and not really suited my style, but today it was just incredible, and that’s thanks to everyone in the team.
“I wish I could have have had all the boys on the podium with me, but in the end I could only have one of my engineers.”
Looking ahead to the next race at Silverstone in a fortnight, Button said: “The British grand prix is always great.

To lead the championship by 26 points is quite a nice feeling, so we’ll see what happens.” guardian.co.uk
Jarno Trulli claimed fourth place ahead of Nico Rosberg, whose flying start, saw him leap up from ninth place.
Felipe Massa, Robert Kubica and Timo Glock completed the top eight while Kimi Raikkonen’s sluggish middle stint cost him a chance of finishing in the points.
As for Lewis Hamilton, although he wasn’t lapped this time round, it was yet another race to forget. Planet F-1.com
