Kinetic Speed Shop has acquired two new team members for the Motorsports and Speed Shop divisions of the company located just outside of Atlanta. After its first full year in existence, Kinetic has experienced incredible growth in all aspects of the organization. James Pauly has taken on the position of Crew Chief for Kinetic Motorsports’ three car Grand Am KONI Challenge effort while John Ghaemmaghami has accepted the roll of Service Manager for Kinetic Speed Shop.
Pauly comes to Kinetic Speed Shop as the new Grand Am KONI Challenge Crew Chief after winning both the GS and ST Championships in the Grand Am Cup Series in 2006. With his years of expertise in the racing industry ranging from Grand Am Cup to BMWCCA, Pauly oversees the entire operation of the new KONI Challenge team which made its official racing debut this season at Daytona International Speedway. In his spare time, Pauly enjoys boating and currently resides in Buford, Ga. just minutes away from Kinetic Speed Shop.
“Honestly the main reason that I came here was to have the personal challenge of taking a startup professional team from the beginnings toward achieving a championship, “ said Pauly. “I feel like Kinetic is the place that will give me this opportunity to seek and achieve another championship in the KONI Challenge. My passion is BMW so the position fits well with me on both a personal and professional level. I hope to take and unify all of the guys here to make them a cohesive team which will increase our chances of success. I am excited to be here and have high hopes for the future of the Kinetic Motorsports’ KONI Challenge team. “
As Kinetic’s street car and club racing business continued to increase, the need for a Service Manager quickly became apparent. Owners Russell Smith and Nic Jonsson recognized the need for someone with the skills and talents to manage all types of service in the shop from regular maintenance to performance upgrades. Seeking out the best to fulfill the requirements of such a position lead them to Ghaemmaghami who maintains an impressive resume with experience with Porsche Cars North America as well as Porsche dealerships.
“I joined the kinetic team as an opportunity to use the talents that acquired over the years with customer service and my technical background. My goals are of course to develop a very strong customer base focusing primarily on the best customer service possible and help build Kinetic Speed Shop’s reputation as the premier high-end automobile repair and custom performance facility in the South East. I am extremely pleased to be here and look forward to implementing ideas to achieve theses goals. “
