Motor racing legend John Surtees was Asked for his forecast of how the Formula One season will pan out, the 1964 champ said he expected a close battle between several drivers.
He reckons Hamilton and Alonso, who clashed bitterly as McLaren team-mates in 2007, will be the cream of the crop.
Surtees said: “In some ways it could be that team which never became a team – Lewis and Alonso.”

He also believes the reigning champ and Alonso, now with Renault, will have to look to their laurels to beat off the challenge of Ferrari, BMW and Red Bull.
