K-PAX Racing

Lou Gigliotti, of Dallas, Texas, had the fastest car today following both SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship practice sessions, part of the 10th Anniversary Petit Le Mans. Michael Galati, of Olmsted, Ohio, and Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., were second and third fastest, respectively.

Gigliotti put his No. 28 LG Pro Long Tube Headers Chevrolet Corvette on the top of the speed charts with a 1:26.012 (106.310 mph) late in the afternoon practice session. The time is under the current qualifying record of 1:26.441 (105.783 mph).

“If this was qualifying, I would be really happy, “ Gigilotti said of his practice time that was a slim 0.004-second faster than Galati. “Winning practice is a lot of fun, but we really want to be the quickest tomorrow - when it counts. But, we’re pretty happy. The LG Motorsports teams has done a great job. “

Driving the No. 23 K-PAX Racing LLC/Jim Haughey Porsche 911 GT3, Galati improved upon his morning practice time turning a lap of 1:26.016 (106.305 mph).
