Heikki Kovalainen will drive McLaren’s 2008 title-winning car on the streets of Moscow later this month as the team joins Williams and Red Bull in demonstrating Formula 1 cars around the Russian capital’s famous landmarks.
After last year’s inaugural event attended by Williams and RBR proved a big hit with local fans, McLaren has confirmed it will attend the event’s second running on July 19. ITV
Heikki Kovalainen will be in action in the British team’s championship-winning MP4-23 for the spectacle, which will take place on a 4.5-kilometre street circuit right in the heart of the Russian city, with St Basil’s Cathedral, Red Square and the Kremlin all providing stunning backdrops.
