Nico Rosberg was the man in form during Thursday’s second practice for the Monaco Grand Prix, though the real story of the day was Lewis Hamilton’s return to form.
The World Champion was second on the timesheets, just over two tenths of a second slower than Williams’ Rosberg, with Rubens Barrichello, quickest in Practice 1, third.
All three men excelled on the tight and twisty Monte Carlo circuit and look among those to beat.

Jenson Button was fourth best, an improvement on his morning showing, while Felipe Massa was fifth for Ferrari. Setanta Sports
Sebastian Vettel recovered from a blown engine in the morning session to post the sixth best time ahead of Heikki Kovalainen in the second McLaren.
Kimi Raikkonen, Kazuki Nakajima and Nelson Piquet rounded out the top 10. Piquet managing to best teammate Fernando Alonso around the historic street circuit.
The Toyota duo of Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock found themselves mired at the bottom of the time sheets. Trulli finishing with the 14th best time while Glock was stuck in 18th.
It was a disappoining day for BMW-Sauber as well. Nick Heidfeld could only manage the 17th best time while Robert Kubica spent most of the afternoon session in the garage after blowing his engine at the start of his first flying lap. TSN.ca
