Question: What do you associate with this (Hockenheim) circuit?
Nico Rosberg: I associate this track with my first race wins. In Formula BMW I won here a lot - and I would not mind repeating it in Formula One, although this weekend it was not to be. And yes, of course it’s my home circuit, but apart from that I truly love the track - it is one of my favorite tracks on the F1 calendar.
Question: What’s your preferred accommodation at races - city hotel, hotel near the circuit, your own motorhome near the paddock?
Nico Rosberg: I have my own motorhome at the European races and that’s by far the best option for me. Myself and the other ‘motorhomers’ Jenson (Button), David (Coulthard) and Mark (Webber) form a sort of corral - a community of drivers on wheels. Outside Europe, I prefer a good hotel close to the track.
Question: Do you enjoy entertaining friends and family during a race weekend?
Nico Rosberg: Yeah, I like to have friends around. In the evening we sit around and have - I was just going to say some beers - but they have the beers and I have water.
Question: Any drivers you particularly like hanging out with?
Nico Rosberg: Apart from the motorhome guys, I hang out with Felipe (Massa) and Lewis (Hamilton). It depends. Actually I get along with quite a few drivers.
Question: How do you wind down after the race?
Nico Rosberg: After the race I like to eat a lot to fill me up. And I drink a lot. Later in the evening - if we are not in Melbourne, Monaco or Montreal - I relax, watch television, basically do some very ordinary things.
Question: If things don’t go your way and you retire early, do you prefer to get away as soon as possible, or hang out and watch the rest of the race?
Nico Rosberg: Obviously I would like to leave the track immediately after a premature retirement but I stay at the track until after the race because there is a debrief - and I am available for the media.
