His new McLaren team mate, defending world champion Jenson Button, is already in the Middle East preparing for the race, but Hamilton says a loved-up weekend with his ‘girl’ is what he needs before the start of the gruelling season, which also sees F1 king Michael Schumacher making a comeback.
Hamilton, 25, and 31-year-old Scherzinger will enjoy the glamour of Oscars weekend in Tinseltown before he turns his mind to reclaiming the world title he won in 2008.
As a result, he says he is ‘in the happiest place’ in his life.
‘Regardless of what happens next week, or in the first few races, I’m in the happiest place, just in my life,’ he said.
‘I feel fit, happy with the direction I’m taking, happy in my personal relationship.’ Daily Mail
It seems there’s no looking back for newly-reunited Lewis Hamilton and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
The couple, who recently got back together after splitting last year, will have a greater opportunity to spend time together after Lewis’ decision to rent a second home.

Nicole has signed up for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ – where she has been partnered with Cheryl Cole’s friend Derek Hough – and Lewis wants to be able to spend as much time with her as he can while she remains in the show, which is filmed in Los Angeles. Auto Racing Daily
The couple will not be together when the British racing driver takes part in the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12, the start of the Formula One season, but Lewis insists their careers will not force them apart.
He said: “She’s away focusing on her album and she’s got a couple of pretty cool things coming up.
“If she can come and she surprises me then fantastic, but I know that she’s got work so maybe next time.
“You make it work, you do all you can, you know? When something is worth it, you do it.” NZ City
