Formula One is apparently moving on without the U.S. Grand Prix.
The sport’s organizing body has released its 2009 schedule without a spot for a grand prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway — or any other U.S. venue, for that matter.
F-1 had an eight-year run at Indy from 2000-07.
“I still think there’s a home for F-1 in the U.S., but it’s getting the right partner to activate and promote it,” Speedway president Joie Chitwood said.
“The door remains open for the future,” he said. “There continues to be dialogue (with F-1).”
