The ING Renault F1 Team heads to Hockenheim for the German Grand Prix this weekend, as we embark on the second half of the 2008 Formula 1 season. The whole team remains motivated and is determined to put the lessons learnt in the first half of the year to good use and come back stronger in the second half of the season, starting this weekend in Germany.
Back to the ring
This year’s race at Hockenheim is the first Formula 1 race to be staged there since 2006. That’s why the team took part in the pre-Grand Prix test at the track last week. After all, there’s not better way to prepare than by practicing on the track in the week before the race! It means that the team return to Hockenheim with a lot of the groundwork already completed, which amounts to set-up work, braking solutions and tyre evaluation. Both Fernando and Nelson had the chance to test and were upbeat on the team’s chances. They will give their all once again this weekend as they prepare for the intensely competitive midfield battle and set about chasing down fourth place in the constructors’ championship.
