Third and final day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working again today at the Catalunya Circuit, near Barcelona.
Luca Badoer brought to a close the busy programme planned for this test, which looked especially at the development of new aerodynamic solutions, as well as experimenting with different set-ups on the car.
“It was a generally positive test,” commented the Scuderia’s official test driver. “We were able to work continuously and without any major technical problems. We saw interesting results from some new components, which might prove useful in the forthcoming races. On top of that, we also got through everything we had planned in terms of engine reliability work.”
The day in figures is as follows: 63 laps completed, the quickest in a time of 1.20.680.
Testing is now over at this circuit and the Scuderia will be back on track this coming Tuesday, 17th June at Fiorano, when Luca Badoer will carry out the shakedown of the cars that Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa will use in the French Grand Prix, scheduled to take place at the Magny-Cours circuit on Sunday 22nd June.
