Swartzbaugh, who has relocated to Georgia to be near the Tafel workshop, is looking forward to returning to his native California. “Laguna Seca is the track that I am most familiar with on the circuit. Tafel racing will give us the best Porsche on the track, and Andrew is the best teammate. Since this is my home track, I look forward to seeing a lot of our sponsors, family, friends, and fans. ”
Eric Lux of Buffalo, NY will share driving duties in the 74 Rembrandt Charms Porsche with Ian James of Phoenix, AZ. “Laguna Seca is an incredible racing circuit, said Lux. ”The history of Laguna Seca and the famous corckscrew makes this a great race to be part of. I drove with Ian several races last year and really enjoy being his teammate. I am optimistic that he and I can produce a good result with the Porsche at Laguna Seca, James is happy to be back with the Tafel team where he competed part of last season. “I have always enjoyed Laguna; it reminds me of some of the European tracks I raced on before coming to America. Last year I finished on the GT podium and hopefully I can have a repeat this year as I am confident Eric and I can pick right up where we left off in ‘06. As always it’s a pleasure to be back in a Tafel Racing suit this weekend”.
