Team VIP Petfoods’ will officially unveil the new Porsche 991 GT3 RSR (Type 997) – Australia’s most unique international marketing tool and the newest weapon in their international arsenal, for the very first time this Thursday at Queensland Raceway.
The car, which is brand new and the only one of its type in Australia, will be used by the team in its assault in next month’s Nürburgring 24-hour race – one of the world’s most famous endurance events.
The team received international recognition after finishing ninth outright in last year’s event and will be in serious contention for this year’s race with the use of the new car.
VIP Petfoods has used motorsport to successfully brand itself in Australia over the past 10 years and intends to use the new RSR Porsche as its number one marketing tool as it looks to launch export programs into Europe and other parts of the world.
“To get the job done, and to be the best, you need to have the right tools, ” said Tony Quinn.
“And you don’t just need to have the right tools, they need to be sharp, the best there is, and this is what we have in the RSR – the best tool possible for our goal of winning international races, and putting the VIP Petfoods brand at the front of the pack. ”
Following its track debut next week, the car will begin its journey to Germany on May 28th to arrive ahead of the Nürburgring 24 hour event, to be held over June 7 to 10.
