Sebastian Vettel’s stunning run of form, which has seen him win the last four grands prix, is being helped by the increased experience that the young German has under his belt.
That is the view of team principal Christian Horner, who thinks that Vettel’s growing maturity has played a key role in helping keep the reigning world champion at the top of the Formula 1 rankings.
“He is really in great form,” said Horner, after seeing Vettel take his second victory of the season in Malaysia.
“I think he was the coolest man in Malaysia on race day, because on the pit wall we were getting a bit hot.

Sebastian Vettel, the Malaysian Grand Prix winner said: “The start was very crucial. I thought I had a very good start, but then I saw Lewis coming up, and then all of a sudden I saw something black [Heidfeld’s Renault] in my mirrors! That was a good thing to happen to me for my first stint.”

Vettel, who started from the pole, led throughout and beat McLaren’s Jenson Button by 3.2 seconds, with Renault’s Nick Heidfeld hanging on for third.
“I love what I do and I don’t think I could be happier at this stage,” said Vettel, who won the season-opening Australian GP last month. “Two wins out of two is perfect, couldn’t be better, but there is still a very long way to go this season.”
