Willams F1

Today’s practice sessions at the Hungaroring ran smoothly for the AT&T Williams team, with drivers Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima working through a busy preparationschedule setting up their FW30s for tomorrow’s qualifying session and Sunday’s 23rdHungarian Grand Prix. The pair concluded the day in P10 and P14 respectively havingbanked a comprehensive 110 laps of Budapest’s 4.381km track.

Nico Rosberg:

We didn’t start the day quite the way we wanted and had to make several changes throughout the sessions in order to find the best direction for us. We definitely went theright way with the changes, and have made some good progress with the car. Tyre-wise,we have yet to make our decision. It’s not immediately clear which option to go for, but we’ll analyse that tonight. Once again, the competition is looking quite strong, especiallythe Renaults.

Kazuki Nakajima:

Our pace wasn’t where we wanted it to be in the morning session, so we made a fewchanges in the break between sessions. The changes worked better for us as wecertainly found some more pace in the afternoon. We still have some work to do thisevening to make sure we get the best from the car tomorrow. I also know that I have todo some work to improve my pace as well.

Sam Michael, Technical Director:

A busy day for the team during which we worked through a number of set-up changes onboth cars throughout the course of practice. The main area that we have to focus onhere is qualifying. It’s almost impossible to overtake around the Hungaroring, so a goodqualifying position is key to a successful result on Sunday. The drivers and engineers will now spend tonight working through the set-up to get more performance out of the car.
