As the US secret service would not let him drive due to security reasons, US President Barack Obama has sent back his car, the Ford Escape Hybrid SUV, back to his home town Chicago.
“The President’s Ford is back in Chicago. Probably for good reason, the Secret Service doesn’t let him drive anymore, which I know he misses,” said Robert Gibbs, White House spokesman.
“The President believes that US automakers are building cars that Americans want to buy and that are also being sold overseas,” said Gibbs adding that it is important to understand that even the most successful auto companies are in a general global economic slowdown right now.”
