Tampa-based radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge will broadcast live from the infield of the Homestead-Miami Speedway during NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend, which includes the season-ending Ford 400 race.
Bubba is a racing enthusiast and founder of his own racing team, Clem Racing Inc., but this will be the first time he has broadcast live from a racing event.
His “shock jock” show is simulcast to more than 10 million listeners on broadcast and satellite radio.
“For all the years I’ve spent running around NASCAR tracks with my love for the sport, I’ve never had the opportunity to broadcast live from a speedway,” Bubba said.
“Bubba is a Florida neighbor who loves NASCAR and enjoys an amazingly loyal fan base,” said Matt Becherer, president of Homestead-Miami Speedway in a press release.
“We welcome Bubba and his Army to South Florida for Ford Championship Weekend.”
