Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team competed at KC Raceway in Waverly, OH in the $50,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship this past Friday and Saturday October 19-20th. Earl would finish 4th in his heat race and would win one of the B-mains to earn a 21st starting position for the 100-lap feature event. Earl would charge to the front and run as high as 10th at point in the race. Earl would finish the 100-lap event in the 12th position. “It was a struggle for us after our poor qualifying attempt. We had to really work hard to get into the feature. Then in the feature the track wasn’t locked down but it was hard to pass. You had to work on each car for several laps to clear and move forward. My tires went away at the end or we would have had a good top ten finish”, stated Earl.
Earl and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team will take this weekend from racing and prepare for the World Finals next weekend at the Lowes Dirt Track in Concord, NC. Earl will qualify on Thursday November 1st for the final two World of Outlaws sanctioned events of 2007 at the Lowes Dirt Track. Earl and team owner Bobby Labonte will make a special appearance at the famous SEMA Car Show next week in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be in the LifeLong Locks booth on Wednesday October 31st during the show.
